I have a question about something that's been on my mind. I heard it takes up to a week to complete registration— is there any difference between women whose registration is completed the same day and those whose registration is completed right at the end of that week?

As for the excuses: after an interview, I take a quick smoke break; when the phone rings, I deal with it; then I notice an email about someone being late; and before I know it, I can’t leave until I’ve written the daily report… “Ah, I’ll write the woman’s interview comments tomorrow”—that happens far too often, damn it. I’ll remind the staff that creating women’s profiles needs to be treated as the highest priority and started right away. Sorry to have kept you waiting!

Imai, the chief at Universe Tokyo, will answer as well. As you mentioned, after the interview, women are told, “Please allow about a week for your profile to be completed.” As Aizawa explained earlier, there’s no difference between women whose registration is completed the same day and those whose profiles are completed right at the one-week mark. We apologize for the inconvenience on the club’s part, but if you can schedule your interview at a branch with fewer interviews, or on a day and time when there are fewer interviews, your profile will likely be completed relatively quickly. Also, due to our business hours, profiles for women interviewed in the evening will inevitably be completed the following day or later. For reference, Imai wants women to be registered while they’re still fresh, so we generally aim to complete profiles the same day—or within three days at the latest!

The difference between women who get registered right away and those who end up waiting nearly a week is, plain and simple: the staff member handling them!! If a staff member has back-to-back interviews or is receiving lots of offer emails, they may not have time to process everything after the interview, so it can take nearly a week. A busy staff member may take longer, while someone with more time can process things right away. It has nothing to do with the woman herself. If it took a while: “That staff member must be very experienced—lucky me!!” If you were registered right away: “I can start right away—lucky me!!” I’d be happy if you could look at it that way.
