Imai Saki from the Tokyo branch here.
I’d like to share the story of the male member who left the strongest impression on me.
I met with a gentleman just the other day, and he was actually in his twenties—the youngest man I’ve ever interviewed. I’d been noticing that more men in their thirties were joining lately, but someone in his twenties was astonishingly young. And on top of that, he was such a fresh-faced, charming young man.
Not long after we met, I couldn’t help asking, “What brought you to a dating club?”—though I apologize for being so direct. (I was thinking to myself, “Surely someone that young has plenty of opportunities to meet women in his everyday life…”)
He told me:
“My father told me, ‘Before you get married, spend as much money as you need to have plenty of fun and meet all kinds of women.’ He was also the one who told me about dating clubs in the first place.”
I’d always thought of dating clubs as the ultimate adult indulgence—something experienced adult men turned to after having tried everything. But perhaps this is simply the direction the times are moving in.
I have a feeling he’ll be one of those members I never forget.
