I’m wondering whether I should ask about registering privately or under a non-public profile.

If you contacted them, I believe you could choose either to allow them to send male members an unblurred photo on a case-by-case basis, or to keep your face blurred at all times.

I believe “private registration” refers to a secret profile. My understanding is that, for example, if a man asks whether there are any women involved in the entertainment industry, the staff will show him a profile only if they decide he seems trustworthy enough. I also saw the screenshot about the influencer’s information being leaked, but from what I could tell, it didn’t appear to have been leaked by a member. It looked more like it came from the person who introduced her to the club. Even among women involved in entertainment, there are different fields and levels of recognition, and each woman has her own preferences. Some register normally with their faces visible, while others have their faces blurred or register secretly. Some may also register with a very small, independent dating club rather than a well-known one like Universe Club. That said, small independent clubs sometimes exchange women’s profiles with one another, so I feel the risk of leaks may actually be higher there. The only foolproof way to prevent a leak would be not to do papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan). Otherwise, think carefully about how much risk you’re willing to accept while looking for a papa (a male supporter).
