The A-type sounds like fun.
I’m past my sexual prime, so I’m quite content without anything more intimate.
I’m looking forward to the home-cooked meal from my cute, busty housekeeper tomorrow.

“Falling for someone” = “loving them” means wanting to cherish that person. If you can’t do that, it means you have no desire to cherish other people.
I wonder if you ended up that way because, as Makeo wrote before, your parents—especially your father—were very strict. They may have loved you in their own way, but that love never reached your heart.
So perhaps you can’t believe it when a woman says she “likes” you—in other words, that she cares about you. Fuu probably received ordinary affection from her parents, so she’s quick to misunderstand things. Or rather, she can’t believe that anyone wouldn’t accept something as wonderful as love. I think many genuinely lovestruck men are like that.
That’s why I think Makeo envies Fuu terribly. Since he never expected to be loved in the first place, perhaps he writes provocative things in order to draw out some kind of attention—even resentment—from other people. Isn’t that why he posts all this stuff here?
Ah, right—I was supposed to answer the question. The person asking should probably replace their entire phone.
By the way, the fact that a teenage girl wants to stay over doesn’t necessarily mean she likes Makeo. Some possibilities are: ① she has no place to belong at home, or feels lonely living alone; ② she has let her guard down around Makeo, or underestimates him because she thinks he’ll somehow manage even if things come to it; or ③ she’s simply emotionally immature and tends to take other people’s words at face value.
So please rest assured when you say, “To a third party, it must look like she’s in love with me”—it really doesn’t look that way at all, lol. If anything, I think everyone is thinking, “Makeo must be incredibly lonely.” In a sense, this could be called a distorted form of being genuinely lovestruck—not falling desperately for someone yourself, but mistakenly believing that the other person is desperately in love with you.
Of course, there’s the example of Cha Kato, and compared with him, Makeo is much younger, so it’s not completely impossible that love could start from there. Though the entry point is papa-katsu, so maybe it really is impossible after all.
Watching Makeo, I’ve started to wonder, “Could it be that he deliberately chose the barren field of papa-katsu because, in a predictable way, he wants to reaffirm that he’s incapable of loving other people?” If he went fishing in the real-world dating or matchmaking scene, he might actually hook someone who was serious about him. Then he would no longer be able to relive the experience of “I can’t believe in other people’s love, therefore I can’t love other people.”
Do you know what “reenactment” means? It refers to a woman who has been raped unconsciously seeking out and wandering back into similar situations. It’s also called “traumatic reenactment.” In Makeo’s case, this is just my imagination, but it seems as though he may be trying to relive, through romantic relationships, the experience of not feeling loved by his strict parents. That may be why he deliberately chooses the barren wasteland of love that is the papa-katsu world.
Apparently, reenactment can become a habit. A child who was abused by a parent becoming obsessed with an abusive partner could also be considered reenactment in a broad sense. It’s as if they’re drawn to it. From the outside, you think, “What are you doing?” But perhaps Makeo will continue repeating the same pattern in the papa-katsu world.
I watched a YouTube video called something like “How Are Fetishes Formed?” Apparently, ages three to eight are crucial. At three, a child’s sense of self develops, and by eight, they become capable of empathizing with others. During that period, they absorb all kinds of things, and apparently the material that sexually arouses them—their preferences—can also become imprinted.
There’s a famous experiment involving some kind of bird: if a chick doesn’t hear its parent’s song, it apparently won’t sing at all even after becoming an adult, despite having normally developed vocal cords.
If there’s a key to overcoming this, it would probably be “rewriting” the past—artificially overwriting one’s memories. You could say that older men who weren’t popular in the past use papa-katsu to experience the feeling of being desirable men are doing exactly that. If they repeatedly, repeatedly, repeatedly flirt with and have sex with young women using the power of money, they may eventually start believing that they were actually popular all along, and that misunderstanding could develop to the point where their memories themselves change.
It’s like teaching an adult bird to sing by playing it birdsong, so I don’t know how effective it really is. Language learning is apparently similar: once you become an adult, the brain closes up, which makes it harder to learn a new language. Conversely, people whose brains remain open in that area can acquire new languages more easily even as adults. There must be huge individual differences.
I once heard from a 19-year-old who had been sexually abused by her father that, when she was little, he took her to Disneyland just once, and held her hand there. That memory was her only treasure.
It might be helpful to dig through your memories and look for moments when your parents treated you as precious—in other words, moments when you were loved—and then nurture and strengthen those memories within yourself.
Someone who has no memories of being loved—or who has convinced themselves that they weren’t loved—couldn’t possibly love someone else. And if you reject love from other people, perhaps at the root of it is that you never felt loved by your parents. Or maybe there’s some kind of thorn in your heart that makes you unwilling to acknowledge their love. Perhaps.
Is there an incident you simply can’t forgive?

If you mean that women’s videos sometimes don’t show up, then they must display more often than not, right? In that case, restarting your device is the quickest fix. If the display remains unstable in your default browser, I’d recommend changing devices rather than apps.
To Makeotoko-san,
I may be saying something terribly rude, but I actually like you, so please keep that in mind.
・For a “teenage girl with zero experience with men,” does “I like you” mean something more like “I’m interested in you”?
・You could also start with the premise that you’re playing romantic partners in a drama. There are plenty of cases where co-starring in a drama leads to a real-life relationship.
・You said you’re “staying over next time,” but if you’re letting her stay over no matter what, does that mean there’s no allowance?
I had all kinds of experiences back when I used to frequent adult entertainment venues too...

Aren’t you viewing the members-only page on your smartphone using Edge?
Universe Club doesn’t support Edge. Please use Google Chrome, or Safari if you have an iPhone, to access the members-only page. The videos should play then.
I’m meeting new girls two days in a row today and tomorrow, but I access the Universe Club members-only page on my computer. Videos play on a computer even with Edge.
I’m having so much fun seeing this teenage college student from the A-type category that I’ve started wondering whether I might not even need my Ace anymore if I have her. It’s nice when someone isn’t jaded. Of course, we haven’t even held hands, but she keeps coming closer to me on her own. She has absolutely no wariness.
She gets angry if I call it an allowance, so when I give her money, I call it transportation expenses. She really seems to hate the idea of papa-katsu. The problem is that I can’t become a genuinely lovestruck old guy.
I always end up keeping my distance. How can I let go of my inhibitions and face a woman according to my desires? She clearly tells me, “I like you, Make-Otoko,” so I should just believe her, but I can’t. Is this some kind of papa-katsu sickness?
What do the other people answering here do?
After hearing about Fuu being blocked, I’m terrified. To protect myself from getting hurt, I automatically translate “I like you” into “Give me money.”
This girl is coming over to stay the night next time. She really wants to, so I couldn’t refuse.
I’m not bragging. This teenage girl with zero experience with men looks, to an outside observer, like she’s in love with me. But after seeing what happened to Fuu, I’m the one who’s scared.
Writing this out makes me realize I probably never properly faced my Ace either...
I’ve never once believed my Ace when she said she liked me.
To the answerers who also write—please write columns about each of your genuinely lovestruck incidents. I want to read them right now.
And could someone counsel me, please? m(__)m
Because of this girl, I’m dreading today’s and tomorrow’s new setups. I feel like I’m betraying her.
Well, I’m nothing but a demon and a cockroach, so I suppose a cockroach like me has no business worrying about things like this.
■ Anzenchitai
The “romantic partner in a TV drama” setup is great. I’m going to use this.
I’ll suggest it to her. Given how we met, it won’t seem unnatural with that setup.
■ Seattle
A-type is really great. I recommend it.
Right now, I’m asking another A-type girl who often stays at my place for advice about dating a teenage virgin A-type girl. lol
I’ve told both A-type girls about my Ace.

An experience that might have left you traumatized?
It’s true that my father beat me constantly, but I don’t resent him at all. In fact, I almost feel that being raised that way was good for me, and I still take care of him financially.
That said, there must be something behind it—something that messed me up. I think it’s perfectly normal to believe that a PJ would never fall in love with me. So the real issue is that I’m incapable of loving women, right?
Come to think of it, I may never have truly felt loved by a woman in the past. I wasn’t popular, but I wasn’t completely unpopular either, so I always had girlfriends. Still, I don’t think any woman ever truly loved me.
The girl who stays over is coming again, and next month we’re going on a trip. The A-type girl chose the destination and has already completed the booking. Her energy is unbelievable. I might name her Ryuko-chan, playing off the name Hezmaru Ryu.

Your question leaves out too much detail.
We don’t know whether the woman’s video is:
- A video on the Universe members’ page
- A video you recorded yourself
- Or a video found somewhere online
We also need to know whether it won’t play on your smartphone or computer, what operating system you’re using, and which software you’re currently using to play it.
Without those details, all anyone can say is:
“I can play videos just fine.”
(Though I don’t know what kind of video you mean.)
On computers, a common issue is that videos recorded on an iPhone use a codec that isn’t included as standard in Windows. In that case, you may get audio but no picture.
You should be seeing a warning about the codec, so you’ll need to either follow the instructions to purchase it or buy another video player that supports it.
If you’re talking about a video on the Universe members’ page, contact their staff. They’ll handle it properly.
(That said, they can’t identify the cause without enough information, so you’ll at least need to tell them whether you’re using a computer or smartphone and which browser you’re using.)
