I agree with this as well… It’s probably better not to set the allowance too high. Since this is a dating arrangement, it’s better to maintain it for a while. Over time, your partner will come to appreciate the benefits of being in a relationship through a dating club. If the allowance is too generous, she may start looking for an even better partner.

I used to consider 30,000–40,000 yen for transportation and 120,000–200,000 yen for an adult relationship (intimate) the standard. Well, I suppose that’s true. It’s probably declining in general—both the number of wealthy people and the amount of the allowance. Japan’s GDP is expected to be overtaken by India in 2025, dropping it to fifth place. Japan hasn’t been able to create any groundbreaking new industries, and as much as I hate to say it, inbound tourism is probably the only thing we can really hope for at the moment. The average age in Japan is 48, and one-third of the entire population is 60 or older. Unless an AI revolution happens in Japan, we’re probably entering a period of decline. That said, one benefit is that papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) has become more casual, allowances have gone down, and things have shifted from fixed monthly mistress arrangements to pay-per-meeting papa-katsu. Even women at about Fuu’s level can now get involved. Women no longer need to offer the kind of special, high added value that you do, either. Ordinary office workers and students can participate too. That’s a major change, and from Fuu’s perspective, it’s very welcome. I think it’s great right now, haha. People in Fuu’s generation are still the main participants, and as the wealthiest supporters decline, Fuu’s relative value will rise. I guess it looks different depending on the person.
