He told me he used to support someone with ¥300,000 a month, but he doesn’t do that for me. Is it because we’ve only met once? Or is he trying to lure me in with a made-up story? Is he just showing off?

So tacky! A truly wealthy person doesn’t need to say it—their wealth shows without them having to mention it. I guess they don’t actually have that much money. Or maybe they’re talking about the salary they give their wife? lol

Probably because you’ve only met once. That said, I don’t think things are likely to go the way you want from here on out. The reason? You’re asking about it here. Try thinking things through a little more for yourself and doing what you can.

It doesn’t look like there’s any history of past questions under this ID. > Is it because it was our first time meeting? Or is he luring me in with a made-up story? Is he just showing off? Why isn’t “Could it be because he decided I’m not worth that much?” one of the possibilities?

Are you the same person who asked, “Why is it that the men who make a point of showing off how wealthy they are…”? Saying, “I was supporting her with ¥300,000 a month” is a way of showing off his wealth. People who make that kind of boast usually aren’t actually that rich. Besides, if things had gone well with that woman, he wouldn’t be telling the story in the first place. From the woman’s perspective, it likely means either: - He was a man she didn’t even want to see, despite receiving ¥300,000; or - He paid ¥300,000 but quickly ended things himself because he decided it wasn’t worth it. Either way, he’s not exactly a great man. In reality, the men who don’t show off like that are often the more impressive ones. Of course, having money doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll spend it on a woman. After that, it all depends on how much the woman can entertain and please the man. To sum up: 1. Truly wealthy men don’t show off their wealth. 2. Even if you meet a wealthy man, whether he spends money on you depends on the woman.

Personally, I think men who bring up a monthly arrangement from the very first meeting are coming on too strong.
