How men and women choose to save for their wedding funds is up to them.
However, in polite society, papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) itself cannot really be considered right, so generally speaking, it is seen as wrong.
Even if it’s considered wrong on the surface, it can give people who need it something wonderful. For them, it may be indispensable—perhaps even essential or the best option available.
As for you, only you can decide whether it’s something you truly need, based on your circumstances.
That said, it would be best if you could manage without doing it openly.

I think that’s completely mistaken.
To me, marriage means being told to come as you are—naked, that is(笑).
Preparing for marriage means staying up all night doing ○○○ and then going to work in the morning, so I’d say stamina is the first thing you need.

As others have already answered, if your goal in making money is to have a happy marriage, then earning it through papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) with an adult relationship (intimate) doesn’t align with that goal.
Keeping a secret from your future husband—something you could never tell him—might prevent you from ever feeling truly happy after getting married. It’s like being willing to die for the sake of your health.
If your goal is simply to make money, then papa-katsu with an adult relationship (intimate) is fine, I suppose.
If a man is demanding a large sum of money from you and telling you that marriage requires a lot of money, perhaps he isn’t seeking a happy marriage but is after your money.
Marriages for the sake of a dowry are hardly a new thing. The term “marriage of convenience” still exists, too.
That brings us back to the conclusion that there must be something wrong with a marriage where you have to worry about money.

I don’t think women need money to get married.
Personally, I feel there’s something wrong with a marriage if the woman has to worry about things like that.
