Regular photos taken by the club staff are perfectly fine.
The club operates on annual membership fees and offer fees from male members. If it loses their trust, its revenue will decline.
Please just use the photos taken by the club staff as they are.

I’d rather not be offered a date based on heavily edited photos, only for them to later feel I looked different and leave me negative feedback.
I believe in showing up as my authentic self! If someone likes me for who I really am, that’s all I could ask for. So I’d encourage you to work on becoming the best version of yourself, while staying true to who you are.
Apparently, you can have your photos retaken after about six months, so why not put in as much effort as you can before then?
I’m also currently getting in shape through strength training, cardio, and dietary restrictions! I’d be happy if I could become even more beautiful and have my photos retaken.

They probably say that simply because it’s a hassle.
They used to accept replacement photos, though. Even then, however, edited photos weren’t allowed, so they would ask you to send an unedited photo.
Even photos taken at a studio aren’t acceptable if they’ve been edited or retouched. Universe makes a point of using unretouched photos on its site.
I don’t think Universe’s camera equipment is inferior to what studios use. For example, the lenses used in Osaka and Tokyo cost nearly ¥400,000 each—and that’s just for the lens. They’re extremely expensive. I don’t think even studios use lenses like these.
The regional branches aren’t equipped with lenses quite that high-end, but they still choose lenses that can compete with anything else in terms of performance. To get anything better, you’d probably have to go with something like a Carl Zeiss Otus, which costs around ¥500,000 for the lens alone. They’re so powerful that they can capture individual eyelashes. (Laughs)

They also use cameras costing over ¥300,000.
So they invest a considerable amount in their equipment. After that, it comes down to the photographer’s skill, but at branches that conduct a lot of interviews, they end up taking more photos than many professional photographers. They shoot an incredible number of pictures every day, so their level of experience is phenomenal.
That’s why their photography skills are also top-notch.
Universe doesn’t have hair and makeup artists, which is a weakness, but you can work around that by having your hair and makeup done before your interview or reshoot.
With that in mind, I think you would have been better off focusing all your energy on figuring out how to take the most flattering photos possible during your interview or reshoot.
Unlike at a studio, you can have them taken for free, so I think it would be better to change your perspective.
Even if you get offers using heavily edited photos, the men will only be disappointed when they meet you in person.
Universe is popular because the women look just like they do in their photos and videos when they meet in person.
No man wants to meet a woman who turns out to be completely different from her photos.
