I think the interview staff probably forgot to tell her to take them off. As a rule, we still ask women to remove them before the shoot.
That said, some women forget to take them back afterward, which can be a little concerning.
These days, if something is left behind, we only keep it for up to a week.

At least when I went in for a reshoot about six months ago, I remember being told, “Please take them off!”
That said, I have seen people wearing accessories in their photos recently, so the policy may vary slightly depending on the branch or staff member.
If you preferred not to remove them, why not mention it when you go in for your reshoot?

I was told to take off my accessories because I shouldn’t give the impression that I’m an expensive woman.
I guess if you’re wearing a lot of flashy jewelry, people might assume you’re going to make them buy you some.

It probably depends on the staff member.
If you really wanted your photos taken with the accessories on, try insisting on it when you have them retaken.

Unless the man has a very discerning eye, he won’t be able to tell whether it’s Van Cleef or not, so it’s fine to wear whatever you like for the photos.
However, if you’re wearing expensive jewelry, a female interviewer may mention it in the comments, like, “She was wearing a Van Cleef necklace.”
If the interviewer is male, they’ll probably overlook it. I don’t think I’d notice it either.
