I'm nearly 50. When we were entering a love hotel, my partner said, “If you look at us objectively from the outside, we must seem disgusting,” and I was left feeling sad afterward. When I was a little younger, I remembered feeling embarrassed being seen anywhere with a papa (a male supporter) more than 20 years older than me. I'm sorry. Have I become someone others find disgusting too? Should I retire from this club, where they give me a renewal interview every time, even though I’ve been doing this to maintain my sense of beauty? I always wanted to keep being a woman until the day I die—putting on makeup and dressing up—but imagining that people see me as an old-fashioned nuisance has made me feel sad.

If you’re registered at that age, you must be very attractive. You simply happened to come across a papa (a male supporter) who lacked tact, so there’s no need to take it to heart. I hope you continue to enjoy a wonderful dating life.

When I was entering a love hotel with my papa, who’s in his late 60s, I noticed a man who was probably younger than him—though my papa looks younger—and a woman who clearly looked to be in her late 50s or around 60 entering just ahead of us. Seeing them, I laughed and said to my papa, “Wow, that’s amazing. Let’s keep going too!” Maybe you’re giving other people courage as well. Haha. Marika

Huh? Is the woman in her 50s, while the men she’s seeing are in their 30s and 40s? That’s a pretty shocking thing to say—something I wouldn’t want to hear from another woman, even as a joke… Once we’re in the hotel, I’m not sure how to put it, but I can’t exactly respond comfortably. Still, at love hotels, we’re careful not to run into other couples coming out, and we avoid making eye contact in the elevator too. So I don’t think people around us see us that way. (*ˊ˘ˋ*)。♪:*

You see elderly couples holding hands, taking pictures at tourist spots, and sometimes even at love hotels. So if it felt a little strange to you, that’s perfectly natural.

I don’t think people pay as much attention to others as you might think. So that male partner is probably just being overly self-conscious. If love hotels make you uncomfortable, why not use a regular hotel instead? You probably won’t feel as self-conscious there. To other people, there’s no way to know whether you’re a couple, married, friends with benefits, or doing papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan). Just don’t loudly discuss the allowance… I think you should stop worrying about what other people think and continue taking pride in your appearance and looking beautiful. That’s why you’re getting offers, right? I have nothing to complain about! Keep being a woman forever! I want to stay stylish and beautiful for the rest of my life too!

“Old-age nuisance” refers to someone who, because of their age, causes trouble or inconvenience for others. Did you bother anyone by entering a love hotel? Some people may say that it’s unpleasant to see older people entering a love hotel and therefore harmful, but that’s simply arrogance. Since you’re not causing anyone any trouble, I don’t think you need to worry about it.

Unless you’re trying to win some “Most Unapologetic Entrance into a Love Hotel” competition, I don’t see a problem. You enjoy it, and you have someone who’s into it too—that should be more than enough. Compared with men who pay women to go to love hotels and even believe they might have a shot at genuine romance, your mental game is way too weak. Why not just be yourself until the day you die? “Old geezer” is actually a respectful term for someone whose presence and power don’t fade with age. Taro
