Setting your profile to secret will generally hide it from all male members, so on the member site, it will look essentially the same as if you had withdrawn.
The only way it would likely be discovered is if a staff member accidentally introduced you as a secret member. However, I’ve rarely heard of staff mistakenly introducing someone they had already arranged a meeting with, so I don’t think it would be found out very often.
That said, if a staff member and a man have become friendly, a conversation like this could happen:
“〇〇 has left the club. I’m sorry—it’s my fault.”
“No, she hasn’t left. She’s just set to secret.”
So I think it’s best to explain the situation clearly—not just that you’re secret, but that you’re telling this particular man you’ve withdrawn, for example.
The downside is that once you go secret, you won’t receive offers unless a staff member actively introduces you to a man, so offers will almost completely stop.
That’s why hiding your profile from specific men may be better. However, if the man’s friends are also members of Universe, there’s still a risk that they could find out that way.

This is Kobayashi from the Tokyo branch.
We do have a feature that allows you to hide your profile from specific male members. However, there are some risks involved, so please ask a staff member for details.
We don’t generally recommend setting your profile to secret, as it can drastically reduce the number of offers you receive.

Since you can hide your profile from specific people, I don’t think you’ll generally be found out. For details, you should probably ask the staff.
