I thought it meant that unless a man pays 500,000 yen or more per meeting, you don’t see him as a man, haha.
I think papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) is more fun—and more likely to work out—for girls like you. Your papa (a male supporter) probably feels happy about it too.

For me, it’s actually the opposite. My papa (male supporter) is so perfect—or rather, so exceptionally attractive and stylish—that I can’t feel satisfied with an ordinary man in his 50s anymore. There really aren’t many handsome, distinguished older men out there… Even if some men can maintain that look in their 40s, I hardly ever see anyone who manages to keep it up into their 50s.

From a woman’s perspective, I think it’s more accurate to say that men in their 50s and up are papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), men in their 40s are “brother-katsu,” and men in their 30s are “friend-katsu.”
Once they’re in their 70s or older, it becomes “grandpa-katsu,” and they come with all kinds of unbeatable perks.
Everyone is looking for something different. Some women prefer grandpa-katsu, and the age range that suits you depends on the individual.

What do you think?
Even among women who do papa-katsu, some like younger men because their bodies are firm and youthful, and they’re not sloppy.
I suppose it depends on whether you’re looking for something physical in a man or valuing what’s on the inside.
If you happened to meet a great man in his 50s or older, I’d say that’s a good thing.
