If a woman asks for a higher allowance, wealthy men will definitely dislike her. I would never ask.
In fact, whenever my papa tries to increase my allowance, I firmly refuse, saying, “I don’t need the money.” I’ve learned from observing him that this makes my papa happier. And, of course, my allowance still goes up.

You can make the suggestion however you like, but be fully prepared for the possibility that they may cut ties with you.
Saying, “I’d like a little more allowance, though…” is similar to saying, “I wish my salary were a little higher at work…”
But your take-home pay doesn’t suddenly go up by ¥20,000 that easily, does it?
In situations like that, most people either cut back on their expenses, increase the number of days they do papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), or take on a side hustle—such as investing—to make up the difference.

If he decided on 8, he probably already has a girl at 7 and thought, “I’ll offer 8 because she’s worth more than the girl at 7.” So I imagine he’s a papa who’s really particular about that extra 1.
The only person who treats 1 like something to wipe his nose with is Mac-san.
Actually, I’m also a stingy guy who’s really picky about that extra 1. Before my first dinner date with someone, I agonized for about a week over whether it should be “11—or maybe 12?” I actually enjoy thinking about it. Sometimes I even find myself going back and forth over the amount during the meal.
In other words, increasing the allowance by 1 or 2 is pretty difficult. Since the adult relationship rate at Universe is 6 or more, I think the safest option is to look for a new papa who’ll pay 6, even if he only meets you once a month.
Men are complicated creatures. When we raise the allowance, we want to be the ones to decide to do it ourselves.
Personally, I absolutely hate being offered an increase. It means I must have been dissatisfied with what I was paying before, and it really hurts.
So when it’s a girl I really like, I just raise it on my own.
I’ll say something like:
“We’re meeting for the fifth time today. I know talking about money might make things awkward, but I’d like to raise your allowance to 15 starting next time. Would you accept it?”
And to be even stingier, when I offer the increase, I’m hoping for an exchange like this:
Girl: “No, I can’t accept it. You’re already giving me more than enough.”
Losing male member: “Once a man takes money out of his wallet, he can’t put it back. Please accept it.”
Girl: “I really can’t. You’re already giving me so, so much.”
Losing male member: “I was paying far too little before. I’m really sorry I don’t earn more.”
Girl: “Really, really, really, it’s fine. I’m not worth that much!”
The ace girl is unbelievably good at this, and before I knew it, I’d become a masochist just because I wanted to have this exchange with her.

The fact that you’re thinking this way suggests that you haven’t met him all that many times and simply see him as a source of money. Since you can consult the Q&A box—and you could also try asking him directly, even if it’s a long shot—why not bring it up as a one-time gamble? It might be an opportunity to turn things around.
If you had been meeting three or four times a month or more, though, I don’t think you should say it—and you probably wouldn’t have come to think this way either. If you’d been seeing each other that often, I imagine the conversation would go in the complete opposite direction after a year: “I’ve received more than enough,” or “I’ve managed to save up, so could you teach me how to invest it?”
> “If I made a proposal like that, wouldn’t he probably lose interest in me?”
Rather than losing interest, I’d find myself wondering, “Were you dissatisfied this whole past year?” What would really hurt is being told this only after a year, and realizing that you’d kept all your requests and feelings to yourself the entire time.
In an ongoing relationship, trust and feeling that the other person relies on you are also important. If you were going to say this, I would have wanted you to bring it up within the first month or two of meeting. After a year, I’d hope for a genuinely happy expression and some appreciative words.

A year is a reasonably long time. If you’ve developed a fairly deep relationship—where you can openly share personal matters, important experiences, and values to some extent—then I think it’s fine to explain your situation honestly and ask for their help.
If not, I think it would be safer to explain the circumstances and ask to increase the number of meetings rather than the allowance per meeting. From a business perspective, proposing a higher allowance in exchange for a higher level of service makes sense, but many people may find it off-putting because it can feel like a menu of paid options at a sex-work establishment. I’ve been in that situation myself, and in the end, that was what led us to part ways.
Incidentally, someone who offers 80,000 yen might actually be stingier than someone who offers 50,000 yen. If they weren’t particular about money, they’d probably offer a round number like 50,000 or 100,000 yen. Choosing 80,000 instead of 100,000 suggests they consider that 20,000-yen difference important. In that sense, someone saying “Let’s make it 90,000!” or “How about 210,000?” might be the most troublesome of all (lol).

When someone tells me, “I actually need a little more money,” I give them a bonus. The other day, since it seemed difficult to increase how often we met, I gave her a lump sum as a monthly arrangement just for this month.
That said, if someone I really like told me she actually needed a little more money and asked me to increase the pay-per-meeting allowance, I think I would. I feel I’d be more willing to accept it if she said she’d allow something she currently doesn’t, in exchange for increasing the allowance.

Once an allowance has been agreed on, you should assume it probably won’t go up, even if it might be reduced. So if you want 10, you should say that you’re hoping for 10 from the start.
Men who can’t manage 10 will give up at that point.
Even if a man agreed to 8, bringing up 10 afterward could make him lose interest, so it’s better not to.
If he wants to increase it, he’ll raise it on his own—but there are very few men like that.
So rather than trying to increase the allowance for each meeting, I think you should consider increasing the number of times you meet.
If you have limited availability, you may just have to accept that.
From a man’s perspective, it seems better to increase the number of days you can meet, so I wonder why it has to become a matter of “Why can’t I increase the allowance there?”
You may have various circumstances, but I think you should consider raising the amount per meeting to be about 10,000 times harder than increasing the number of days you can meet.
It feels a bit like asking, “How can I learn to run 100 meters in under 11 seconds?”
There may be people who can run it in under 11 seconds, but they’re an extremely small minority…
