Kida, the director, will answer this one. I’ll take this juicy question myself. Thank you so much for saying that your interview and registration with Mizukami were enjoyable. That said, my own policy has been the complete opposite: - A woman’s interview isn’t playtime. It’s a one-on-one battle, so take it seriously and don’t goof around. - There’s no value in an interview being “fun.” Either it’s an interview that leads to offers, or it isn’t. - Women aren’t coming in to make small talk with the staff. If there’s time to bond over shared hobbies, use it to find points you can promote to men. Those have been my guiding principles for women’s interviews. I’ve also said some pretty harsh things to Mizukami personally. I said something along the lines of, “If you’re going to take such lifeless photos, there was no point in hiring you.” I really said something awful. I’ve realized that enjoyable interviews have their value too. I’ve reflected on that and learned from it. From now on, I won’t dismiss the importance of enjoyment and rapport during interviews.
