If you’ve built a really good relationship, I think using your real name can be fine too.
There have been times when I’ve felt a jolt of anxiety because I was using a fake name—like when making a restaurant reservation where I was already known, or when I happened to run into someone I knew.
That said,
always assume the relationship could end.
To avoid trouble, I think it’s better to consider whether the other person is someone you’d still feel comfortable having your real name if the relationship turned sour.
Rather than making decisions based on things being good between you, try to think with the possibility of things getting worse in mind. I believe that helps you make the right judgment.
Of course, we all want to keep things on good terms for as long as possible.
