I’m Paper Airplane, a male member. That’s an excellent question. As you said, Mac is a uniquely creative writer. Mac and the rest of us men in the club may indeed be as pathetic as you described—or we may be the exact opposite. If readers take it as meaning either is possible, they can simply move on without feeling uncomfortable.
