I’m Joe, a columnist.
My favorite, Nana, is based in Hanoi. She comes back to Japan from time to time, but she barely gives me the time of day here. So at the end of the year, I used work as an excuse to go to Hanoi and meet her there. When I said, “You’re going to Paris next month, right?” that settled our reunion in Paris.
I was in Paris until yesterday. The city was gridlocked because of the strikes, but that actually made it more enjoyable to explore on foot.
What I’m trying to say is that distance doesn’t matter if you’re really motivated. Once a month or so is perfectly doable.
That’s the answer I gave from a pub in Dublin, naturally while knocking back a pint of Guinness.
