I’m the nearly 28-year-old woman who described herself as a loser in a question a few posts back. Thank you for all the tough feedback on my previous question. It really hit home.

I’ve actually been working in the sex industry for about nine years (mostly at mainstream establishments). I’m currently looking for a day job through the disability employment program, but I still don’t have much confidence in myself, so I’ve decided to give up on registering with a dating club. That said, while I was working in the industry, I met a customer who’s a business owner and graduated from one of Japan’s former Imperial Universities. We’ve been seeing each other privately for about a year, with no intimacy. (Apparently some doctor friends have been encouraging him to join Universe Club, haha.) I contracted an STI, and he offered to give me a monthly allowance on the condition that I get a daytime job and quit the sex industry. So my sudden retirement from sex work has been decided. I’ve given up on papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), but since he’s willing to support me this much, I’ve decided to work hard to find a daytime job that suits my needs and cherish our relationship.
