If you’ve had that much extensive cosmetic work done, there’s a good chance it’ll be noticed, so depending on what the staff member conducting your interview thinks and how you answer their questions, you’d probably be rated Gold—or Platinum if everything goes well. Your class is determined by your overall appeal and rarity as a female member of the dating club: being naturally beautiful without cosmetic surgery, having a good personality, or having an occupation or background that makes male members think, “Wow.” It isn’t decided based on a simple factor like your specs alone. To avoid complaints from male members, anything the staff find questionable—such as lies—is noted in your profile.

That under-eye makeup and “jirai” makeup make them look like they’ve been punched in the ring, don’t they? It’s often someone from the same class as before.

I think the most popular women at these clubs are the ones who have that “girl-next-door” feel. Doesn’t getting plastic surgery inevitably take you further away from that natural, ordinary-girl image? That said, some aspects of the club’s standards are hard to understand. Women with an obviously surgically enhanced look may be listed as Black, but if they also have experience in the adult entertainment industry, they often don’t receive any offers. As a result, you often see notices saying that someone has been moved from Black to Platinum.

I get what you mean. There’s often a difference between a woman being beautiful due to plastic surgery and a man thinking, “I’d want to sleep with her.” Sometimes it’s pretty obvious that she’s had a lot of work done. I think the women who get the most support here are the clean-cut, understated, well-groomed types who look like office workers or college students. If you’re confident in your looks and bedroom skills, you might earn more through adult videos or private adult streaming. It feels like you and the people here are in completely different markets and venues.

Being Gold at 20 is all well and good, but the problem is that she apparently couldn’t earn much from it. Spending 15 million yen on facial plastic surgery—did she really have a face that required that much work, or was she simply ripped off? Bragging about how much you spent on plastic surgery is a lot like a papa bragging about his allowances. Saying, “I’ve spent tens of millions of yen on relationships,” isn’t going to earn you any praise. And after spending 15 million yen on that face, she ended up in the adult entertainment industry anyway? If she’d become an actress, you could at least say, “Well, good for you.” If she goes to another Universe Club interview and ends up Gold again—or doesn’t get any offers—you have to wonder what that 15 million yen was even for. She’d be better off not doing it.

Cosmetic surgery is fine, but please leave the aegyo-sal—the puffy lower eyelids—alone. It may appeal to women, but men generally hate it. It’s also the feature that most obviously gives away the fact that you’ve had work done, so I always avoid making an offer.

To be honest, I think people who work in the adult entertainment industry receive considerably fewer offers. I personally wouldn’t make an offer. If you’ve had that much cosmetic surgery, many people will notice even if you don’t mention it in your profile. That said, you won’t know how many offers you might receive until you register, and opinions can vary depending on the staff member handling your account, so why not attend an interview? During the interview, it’s best not to lie or hide anything. There’s a very high chance both your work in the adult entertainment industry and your cosmetic surgery will be discovered.

> “I plan to continue working in adult entertainment for the time being.” The basic premise is that men have to make offers, but many men don’t want to make offers to women who work in adult entertainment. Because of that, even if you have Black-level looks, simply being an active adult-entertainment worker will likely bring you down one class. In other words, even if your looks are definitely Black-level, you’ll probably have a high chance of being classified as Platinum. > “I spent around 15 million yen on facial plastic surgery.” A little cosmetic surgery may make you look more beautiful, but beyond a certain point, although your own satisfaction may increase, other people are more likely to stop seeing you as beautiful. I don’t know exactly where that line is, but up to around one million yen may help you look more attractive. Beyond that, it might be better to assume that you’re mainly improving your own satisfaction. Of course, your original appearance matters too, but going too far can result in a face that no longer looks beautiful. Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. > “How are the classes divided?” Basically, it depends on whether you’re attractive, but things like having a popular profession, graduating from a top university, or having a large bust and slim waist can earn extra points if they’re traits men tend to like. Having a good personality is also taken into account. All of these factors can lead to more offers. By the way, breast implants are often noticeable from the way they feel when a man touches them, so implants that are immediately obvious are a negative factor. If you lie by saying you haven’t had implants, you may even be forcibly removed depending on the complaint from the man. (Usually, even if a man reports it, he won’t get that angry as long as the club handles him properly, so it generally won’t result in forced removal.) > “Will I be put back into my previous class, Gold?” When we’re unsure, we may refer to someone’s previous class, but basically, it’s based on their current appearance and personality, so I think you can feel reassured. However, if you act during the interview as though you’re absolutely Black-level—“Hmph! I’m the one who’s going to make money for all of you”—you may be judged as having a problematic personality. In that case, you could end up registered as Gold: Black-level looks but Platinum because you currently work in adult entertainment, then downgraded to Gold because of your personality. This is to avoid complaints from men saying things like, “She had a terrible personality,” “It was awful,” or “I want my money back.”

Your class can move up or down while your profile is active, so I imagine it will rise if you become popular. Personally, I tend to see cosmetic surgery or a background in the sex industry as positives. However, if someone is doing papa-katsu alongside working in the sex industry, I tend to avoid them because the risk of contracting an illness is significantly higher. (I used to make frequent use of sex services, but I haven’t gone since registering with this club.)
