Ishibashi from the staff here. I’d rather have neither, but if you have other strong selling points, I think you’ll still receive offers.

If everything else looks good aside from smoking and tattoos, I’d make an offer without hesitation.

How extensive is the tattoo?
Unless she’s exceptionally beautiful, I don’t think I’d make an offer.
Vaping would be just about acceptable, but smoking cigarettes would be a no because of the smell.
Either way, this may not be a very good fit for you.

Generally speaking, people with tattoos receive far fewer offers.
For smokers, it usually doesn’t have much impact as long as they check the box saying they can refrain from smoking during the date. If they can’t even go without smoking during a date, it does affect the number of offers somewhat—but still not as much as having tattoos.
Some people are okay with a small, discreet tattoo, but if what they thought was just one turns out to be two, they may start wondering how they feel about it.
That said, this is only speaking in general terms.
If someone is exceptionally beautiful or has an amazing figure, they may still receive offers even with tattoos. So in the end, it’s hard to say anything other than that it depends on their looks.
Also, since you wrote “as expected,” I wonder if you already knew the answer and just wanted to confirm it. If you already felt that way without checking, then you should probably trust that instinct.
And I can’t help wondering: what would you do with that information anyway?
It doesn’t sound like you were planning to go in for an interview, either, so were you simply asking because the thought occurred to you?

A small, discreet tattoo is fine, but you probably wouldn’t want someone with a large tattoo covering their back.
Vaping a little is fine, but chain-smoking cigarettes is another matter.
One or two ear piercings are fine too, but if they have piercings in their nose, tongue, and all over the place, it would probably be a turnoff.
I think anything is fine in moderation. If not, make sure to state it clearly in your profile.

I’m Andy, a male member.
I’m a smoker myself, so I don’t mind if my partner smokes. I currently have two ongoing partners with tattoos, and there have also been several others I met in the past who had tattoos.
I just wanted to point out that there are male members like me who don’t place much importance on those things.
That said, as others have mentioned, I think more people tend to avoid smokers and women with tattoos. Since profiles specifically ask whether someone smokes and has tattoos, those details are clearly considered important. So, to answer your question, it will probably lead to fewer offers.
Hope this helps.

Yes, apparently so.
But I think it’s ridiculous to get a tattoo removed or quit smoking just for that reason. It’s similar to asking whether unattractive women or women with small breasts have a harder time getting offers.
By the way, failing to disclose a tattoo during the interview or lying about not smoking is the worst thing you can do. The man may complain to the club and expose the lie, and then the fact that you lied on your profile may be added to it.

In my case, I wouldn’t make an offer to someone with tattoos.
I don’t smoke either, so I generally avoid smokers.
You’ll probably be turned down, but depending on your potential, I think there’s still a chance.
