Some men try to hold hands in public, but I’d really rather they didn’t because it would be a problem if someone from my company saw us. Is there any way to get them to stop besides simply telling them directly?

There doesn’t seem to be any option other than telling him directly. Once you allow it, it becomes the default, so you need to say no from the very first time. Tell him, “I can’t hold hands because I’d be in trouble if someone I know saw us.” If your papa (a male supporter) won’t stop after that, it’s probably better for you to end things for your own sake.

> Other than telling him directly, I think it would be difficult to communicate it without using words. But if you acquired Nen abilities—and happened to be a Manipulator— then learned “180-Minute Love Slave (Instant Lover),” you could control him however you wanted, so I don’t think he’d even try to hold your hand. The catch is that you have to kiss him first, though, so that might be a pretty high hurdle. Honestly, I think it would be better to just explain it directly. Something like, “Please wait until we’re in the room.”

I feel the same way, but some women keep trying to team up with me, and honestly, it’s an unwelcome favor. I tell them clearly, but in a gentle tone.

I think it’s best to just say it outright. Once you’re holding hands, excuses like “she’s my niece,” “a coworker,” or “a business partner” obviously won’t work anymore… Most girls walk so close that their shoulders are practically touching mine. Even one girl who initially said she couldn’t walk around downtown with me changed after she let her hair down on a trip and started walking right up against me. At home, I’m at the very bottom of the pecking order—even my pets look down on me—so I guess I give off absolutely none of that intimidating, unapproachable vibe. I’m probably even lower in the hierarchy than the pets.

Try operating in an area where you don’t know anyone. I think it would be better to place more importance on not making men feel obligated or uncomfortable.

Pretend you’ve gotten a static shock and keep going, “Ow!!” until she gives up. It’s incredibly touching and makes me happy when a woman takes my hand, but I’ve never once been the one to initiate it. When walking around town, I think keeping your distance is absolutely essential. When heading to a hotel, I have her follow about five meters behind me. That helps her open up, and then she gets all lovey-dovey with me at the hotel, so I wish every papa would walk separately. What a waste. Tomorrow, I’m meeting a woman at the station gates at her request—she admits she’s terrible with directions—but I’ve already told her we should walk separately to the restaurant.

If you want them to stop holding your hand without talking to them, you could always smear poop on your hand. I think it’s unrealistic to continue seeing someone without communicating with them. If the key point of your question is “without telling them directly,” then the answer is to put it more tactfully. Were you trying to ask a riddle?
