If you’re socially awkward to the point that you can’t keep a conversation going with anyone, it may be difficult to maintain an arrangement even if you do manage to meet someone. I recommend getting to the point where you can have a normal conversation as an adult before becoming active. As for the “landmine” type, it’s difficult to tell from appearance alone whether someone just has that look or is actually a person to avoid, so I think it’s best to err on the side of avoiding them.
