When I spoke with a staff member during a previous reshoot, they told me that women in their early 30s tend to receive more offers than those in their mid-20s, so I shouldn’t worry about the future. I don’t really understand why, though—why do women in their 30s get more offers than those in their 20s??

Once you hit your 30s, you really start to miss your 20s—and after making some embarrassingly silly mistakes, you tend to mellow out a bit (*´ω`*)

Why would you take what the staff say at face value?

According to this, the number of offers for women in their late 20s and early 30s doesn’t seem to differ much. It also says: “The reason women in their late 20s receive offers may be that, after becoming adults and entering the working world, they’ve experienced both the bitter and sweet sides of life to some extent, allowing them to have more mature conversations.” The age gap between men aged 70 and over—the group making the most offers—and women in their late 20s is at least 45 years. Why do these men choose and make offers to women who are as far apart in age as grandparents and grandchildren? That made me wonder whether the same could be said of women in their early 30s. If she’s in her 30s, perhaps they wouldn’t look like a grandfather and granddaughter. Some men may prefer someone younger, while others may be looking for someone more mature. I’m 36, so I’m in my late 30s, but I feel like I’m introduced to relatively young men. Even when we walk around together, I think we just look like an ordinary couple—or even a married couple. Before registering with the club, when I thought of papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), I assumed it meant dating men older than my own parents. But so far, the men I’ve met have definitely been younger. If anything, I’m the one thinking, “Are you really sure you’re okay with me?” Once you reach your 30s, the type of men who make offers to you may change as well.

I think the same woman can actually look more beautiful in her 30s than in her 20s—body shape included. High school girls tend to have thicker legs, but by the time they’re 30, they become more slender, don’t they? That said, it’s a different story once they reach their 40s. After 40, I feel like what Aya says applies to some extent. Marika

On matching apps, there are often many men who don’t really know what they’re doing, so I assume younger women have an advantage. With dating clubs, though, more men have experience with all kinds of women. Many of them understand the appeal of a mature adult woman, so they may see women around 30 as more attractive, thinking women in their 20s are still unripe fruit. I think that’s probably the reason. If you find that hard to understand, it may be because the person asking only knows matching apps and dating sites—or because they’re still in their 20s. It may also depend on whether, once you reach your 30s, you can look back and think, “I was still a child at 20.”

As a general trend, women in their 30s are sexier than women in their 20s, and women in their 40s are even sexier than those in their 30s. I think women in their 30s are popular because they have strong support from some men who understand that. I have two golf buddies who only go for women in their 40s, saying: “Women don’t come into their own until they’re 40.” Both of them are wealthy. Since I personally know two men like that, women in their 30s and 40s are definitely still very much in the game—and highly sought after.

This may sound harsh, but while age could certainly be a factor, I think it’s normal for offers to decrease the longer someone has been registered. Or maybe the pattern of offers changes between women in their twenties and those in their thirties and up, making the length of time registered irrelevant. Personally, I make offers to women in their mid-to-late twenties, so I’m sorry to say that if a woman tells me she registered five years ago, that alone lowers her on my list of priorities for offers…

I think women in their 30s who pass interviews at dating clubs tend to have plenty of appealing qualities besides youth—such as beauty, an attractive career, intelligence, or an above-average figure—since they no longer have quite the same “youth” advantage as women in their 20s. That may be why the overall caliber is higher than among younger women. Otherwise, they probably wouldn’t pass the interview in the first place. Another reason is that some people feel women who are too young are harder to talk to and that walking around with them is embarrassing because it gives off a compensated-dating vibe.

What’s with the staff member, lol? You’re making it sound like an athlete’s career span—and as if keeping it up for ten years is a given(笑) The reasons women in their 30s get more offers than women in their 20s may be: 1) The age gap is relatively smaller, so you may feel more comfortable spending time together 2) You’re slightly less likely to feel a generation gap while talking (for example, the chances of her parents being younger than you are a bit lower) 3) They have more experience, so you can expect a deeper intimate relationship (though it depends on the person) 4) They’re more emotionally mature, so the relationship is more likely to be stable (again, it depends on the person) 5) The allowance is… well, you get the idea. I think those are probably some of the reasons. It’s not simply a matter of being younger is better. Apparently, women in their 40s also get plenty of interest. If youth were all that mattered, wouldn’t teenagers be the obvious choice? Having incredibly youthful skin and a very perky figure is probably a privilege of being a teenager. But since they have no work experience, the generation-gap feeling and emotional immaturity can be pretty extreme too. Some people like that, and they may even end up running afoul of youth-protection laws. But most people aren’t looking for that—they’re looking for maturity as well. Taro
