People who graduated from Keio are incredibly proud of their alma mater, so you should definitely play it up in front of a papa (a male supporter) who went to Keio.
If he graduated from another university, he probably won’t think much of it. He’ll just go, “Oh, I see,” and that’ll be the end of it.

There aren’t that many opportunities to bring up your educational background.
I didn’t go to a particularly prestigious university, but if I were in your position, I’d probably downplay it a little (*^^*).
I don’t think that’s being manipulative or anything. If he seems like the kind of person who wouldn’t care, you can just be honest.

It’s better not to tell awkward lies or anything like that.
A man who gets twisted over something as minor as educational background is trash.

Honestly, I’d just tell them. The reason is that I don’t really care enough about my educational background to be particularly conscious of it.
Besides, isn’t it unpleasant when whether someone likes or dislikes you depends on your academic background? I don’t really want to get involved with someone whose only thing to talk about is that.

I graduated from a high school that wasn’t exactly known for its academic standards, but in my case, I’m perfectly fine with people saying that honestly.
At this age, no matter what people say about me, I am who I am, so surprisingly, it doesn’t really bother me. I just have this odd amount of confidence.
It’s strange, considering my stamina has declined and I’m slower at thinking than I used to be.
I wasn’t particularly studious when I was young, so I still struggle with kanji I can’t write and difficult calculations. A calculator and the dictionary on my phone are essential, haha.

Many people graduate from Keio and still struggle to find a job.
On the other hand, plenty of people who only completed middle school have started their own businesses and become wealthy.
In the world of papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), men are simply excited by the thought that they’re seeing a Keio woman, so there’s no need to lie about your educational background.

If he asks, I think it’s best to answer honestly.
If a papa (a male supporter) reacts awkwardly to that, he may not be such a great match in the first place.
That said, as I mentioned, there aren’t many situations where you specifically need to bring up which university you attended. In my case, at work, I’ll bring it up if I’ve looked into it beforehand and find out we went to the same university. Otherwise, I don’t mention it myself, and the other person has hardly ever asked me about it either—regardless of whether I attended a highly prestigious university or not.
There are plenty of other topics to talk about, and I suppose education isn’t the most important factor in business or personal relationships. I also hire employees with better academic backgrounds than mine, so perhaps I just don’t worry about it that much.
I’ve said quite a bit, but if you feel it might be awkward, there’s no need to bring it up yourself.

You again.
I don’t think there’s any particular need to do that, since it’s quite common.

Some men might feel put off if it comes across as a little condescending, so I recommend saying you attend a university that’s slightly above average—but…
Why would you tell them the name of your actual university? Is it because you’d be okay with being stalked? Or do you want them to say, “Wow, that’s amazing!”?
Instead of going to a university like that and doing papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), don’t you have the brains to start your own business? Are you just going to university because it’s what people do?

You should just be honest and tell him.
Being from the University of Tokyo might be a little tricky in some cases, but even so, if you’re a college student, I think it’s better to be upfront about which university you attend.
