This may be a long shot, but are you with the tax office?
At our company, we repeatedly remind our female members that their allowance is subject to gift tax, and that they should file a tax return if it exceeds ¥1.1 million a year—so please go easy on us with the investigation.
But then again, the writing style doesn’t really sound like someone from the tax office.
Are you perhaps a charismatic papa-katsu woman who’s come to challenge us?
“Anyone here making over ¥1 million a month? Come out and face me!”
If that’s the case, then by all means—we’ll take you on.
Making ¥1 million a month means either you’re doing papa-katsu around 15 days a month, assuming an average allowance of ¥70,000 per night, or you have a papa who simply shows up and drops a stack of cash on the table saying, “Here’s your ¥1 million for the month.”
Is that what you mean?

That kind of competition is completely, utterly meaningless!
It feels fundamentally no different from two beggars competing over, “I got ¥100 today!” “Well, I got ¥120!”
Who cares?
If you were competing over the experiences, stories, or mutual respect gained from those once-in-a-lifetime encounters, that would be one thing.
So the answer is: “Who cares?” Or, “Please pay your taxes.”

I once held a roundtable discussion, and in the end, most of the women were making around ¥700,000–¥1 million a month.
I assume they earn roughly ¥10 million a year, but they keep it pretty well hidden.
Also, women who make as much as ¥3 million a month tend to break down.
