For male members: how long do relationships with female members typically last? Please share your own experiences. (1) What percentage continue after the first meeting—that is, result in a second date? (2) If things continue to a second date, how many dates do you typically go on on average? (3) How do these relationships usually end? Does one person say, “I don’t want to meet anymore,” or do they simply end when one person stops reaching out?

I’m Saito, a columnist♪ ① Women I see a second time 50% ② How often I go on dates after the second one Once a month. If I don’t meet another wonderful woman, I’ll continue indefinitely. ③ How things end When I meet someone better than the woman I’m currently seeing, I gradually stop contacting her. In some cases, I don’t even mark her messages as read. (I’ve come to feel that this causes fewer problems.) I used to explain things properly, but I couldn’t seem to explain myself well, so it ended up this way. It may sound cruel, but I think it’s realistic. I might be similar to Joe. Sorry for the bluntness.

I’m Joe, a columnist and male member. This may not be very helpful, but I’ll answer anyway. I’m coming up on one year and three months since joining. It varies, but on average I get one or two offers a month. There have also been months when I made more than five offers. (1) There were four women I didn’t meet a second time. One of them didn’t even exchange contact information with me. Of the remaining three, two are women I made offers to this month, and we’ve already arranged a second meeting. Unless the other person turns me down, I make a point of meeting twice. (2) There was one woman I only met twice. I’ve met everyone else at least twice. The highest number is impossible to count(笑). (3) It’s not particularly interesting, but in most cases, things just fade out naturally. In my case, I generally see women in the Tokyo metropolitan area when I’m there on business, so if our schedules don’t line up, we naturally stop contacting each other. That said, even when I think things are over, I sometimes suddenly hear from them again. Of course, the opposite happens too. There have also been two women with whom I thought things were going well, only for them to suddenly stop contacting me or become unreachable. That was pretty upsetting(笑). There was one woman where we talked things over and parted ways—or perhaps we were never really dating in the first place. You didn’t ask, but the longest arrangements lasted one year for two women. The next longest was three months. I don’t know about the others, but I can’t say my continuation rate is particularly good. Sorry for the long answer. It may not have been very helpful.
