I was astonished to read that you’ve made offers to 300 women, Mr. Saito. It’s hard to even imagine what the two women who made the cut and have been seeing you every month for over five years are like… Are they beauty pageant contestants, actresses, or women of that caliber? And how much is the allowance…? Of course, is it an adult relationship (intimate)…? Are they highly educated as well…? This all sounds so far above my world that I’m incredibly curious—would you be willing to share just a little? In any case, I can’t help but envy them for having been with you for over five years…

I’m Saito, a column writer♪ This is starting to sound like a topic that might cause an uproar, but— I have three women whose allowance is ¥150,000–¥300,000 per meeting (including women I’ve been seeing for less than five years). I imagine all three earn over ¥10 million a year themselves, and anyone would recognize them on sight. Entrepreneurs and idols at that level have had all kinds of experiences, so there’s never a shortage of things to talk about. (Even those who assume an idol must be earning around ¥100 million would be surprised by how little they actually make.) As for beauty pageants, even counting just the three major ones, nearly 150 women come out of each year’s competitions (3 × 47 prefectures). If you assume there are 1,000 of them in Japan after six or seven years, I don’t think they command especially high prices. Years ago, I helped nurture a pageant contestant until she became a finalist, and later I was surprised to hear that she had started dating a Don Juan. I suppose the reason these relationships continue is that they’re “no big deal,” isn’t it? I don’t particularly feel that we have to meet, or that I want to do anything more with them. We just meet casually from time to time. It feels like giving pocket money to my younger sister, who moved to Tokyo to live on her own, and listening to her talk about various things. If I’m not in the mood, I often just give her the money and leave. It’s not that anything under ¥100,000 is unacceptable. It’s more that the level of effort and commitment is different. Just as women at dating clubs seek not only money but also “魅力” from men, I look to meeting women for vitality and energy in my daily life. It’s the same as when I used to go to hostess bars and clubs. So listening to boring stories or putting up with pointless lectures is meaningless. If it’s just about getting into bed, I lose out because it takes energy. That’s why I don’t date office ladies. Female civil servants are even less my type. I find someone earning ¥10 million through hard work, sweat, and taking full responsibility for themselves far more interesting than someone being kept on ¥20 million. > Still, being with Saito for over five years is truly something to envy… Just like the male members here, I’ve also been dumped by women, so don’t worry. I think the key to enjoying a dating club is not to overthink things. I also write an Ameba blog from time to time, so you can get a sense of what I’m like there.
