Either they’re choosing unpopular women who don’t get many offers, or they have dementia and have forgotten being turned down—which is it?

Even though I’m starting to forget things here and there, I still can’t forget how frustrating it felt to be turned down.
Dementia is supposed to be a natural function that helps you live happily as you age, so you don’t get crushed by all the unpleasant memories piling up—haha.
I’ve been turned down countless times by women who simply rejected me, claiming they were on their period (though I never knew if that was true), women who said, “I’m an 8 or higher,” and women who said it was C, but were clearly just doing dinner-only dates and making money from the transportation allowance.
I’ve also turned down a few myself.
Sometimes, just when I was ready to get intimate, I lost interest because the smell was stuck between her buttocks. Other times, I lost interest when I undressed her and was hit by a really strong underarm odor, or when the smell down there was so intense that I couldn’t get it off my fingers. I’ve lost interest when she demanded an extra charge every time, when she told me not to touch her upper body, or when she was so completely passive.
I’ve been turned down, turned people down, and lost interest countless times, but every one of those memories has stayed with me.

I don’t ask for ¥50,000 per pay-per-meeting date. It’s actually less.
In the past, someone asked for ¥80,000, but after I told him my allowance, we agreed on that amount.
There have also been two people who agreed to my allowance in person but later blocked me.
No one has ever offered me ¥100,000, though maybe I simply haven’t made offers to that kind of person.
I’m not sure whether I’m particularly popular or getting flooded with offers.
As I mentioned before, some people took one look and immediately decided it wouldn’t work. Even ¥50,000 might have been too much for them.

I also offer 50,000 yen, but as a rule, things don’t develop into an adult relationship (intimate) with women who ask for 60,000 yen or more.
There was one woman who agonized over it for a while and agreed to 60,000 yen or more when we met next time, but she eventually quit because, supposedly, her parents found out. I don’t know if that was really the reason, though.
In my experience, I haven’t been turned down for 50,000 yen at Universe all that often—maybe 10–20% of the time at most.
By the way, when the desired allowance isn’t listed on PATOLO, I ask beforehand whether 50,000 yen is okay.

Basically, it’s just as the other respondents have said…
That said, if you often can’t come to an agreement even at 50,000 yen, then, with all due respect, there’s a good chance the issue may also lie with you.
It’s also a fact that, according to statistics the staff compiled and published before, the most common allowance was 50,000 yen.
For reference, I generally ask women what allowance they’re hoping for, so I rarely make the first offer myself.

I actually tested this using PATOLO.
Quite a few women turn down an allowance of 50,000 yen. Even at 60,000 yen, plenty of women still say no. Once you get to 70,000 yen, fewer women decline, but every now and then someone will still say no even at 100,000 yen. I usually go for Platinum or Black-class women, though I also target Lucky Gold women.
If someone says they’ve never been turned down at 50,000 yen, they’re probably either conveniently interpreting situations where they were actually rejected as not being rejections and not counting them, or they’re only making offers to women who aren’t in the Black or Platinum premium-price range.
The number of offers is tricky. A Gold woman might receive offers from 20 men, but then only get five offers after moving up to Platinum. So it’s difficult to define what makes someone a popular woman.
Personally, when I meet someone through a setting and think, “This isn’t what I expected,” I offer a lower allowance, hoping she’ll turn me down.
When a woman messages me on PATOLO but doesn’t meet the standards I’m looking for, I also make a lower offer to see what happens and get a better sense of the going rate. I try not to simply fade out without negotiating the allowance. I always want to know the current market, and experience with negotiations is useful in business too.
Based on my experience, the going rate for women in the upper tier seems to have gone down, and I feel like there are fewer women asking for 150,000 yen. On the other hand, the going rate for the middle tier may have risen slightly—more women saying things like, “I’m looking for at least 60,000 yen.” That’s just within the scope of my own research, though.
At the beginning of this week, I sent out a bunch of messages on PATOLO offering 60,000 yen, and only about 40% replied. In other words, 60% turned me down.
Also, among the women who accepted 50,000 yen, I’ve never met a single one who made me catch my breath and think, “Wow, she’s really cute…” I’m pretty particular about looks, so maybe that can’t be helped.
That’s why I’ve never continued with anyone at 50,000 yen.

If things don’t work out at 5, as Maezawa-san wrote, we just part ways and it ends there. So, intuitively, I feel like I’m the one turning them down. Am I wrong?
I’ve somehow ended up with 15 or 16 monthly arrangements, but only about three or four of the girls have another papa or a boyfriend. Everyone else is seeing only me. If we’re intimate four times a month and I pay 5 each time, that comes to 20, and then the rest of their time is taken up by their day jobs, studies, or regular part-time work. They simply don’t have much time to spare. Most of them have that kind of sensible outlook.
For example, suppose a single daikon radish were being sold for 1,000 yen. If a customer thought, “That’s too expensive. I’m not buying it,” could you really say the greengrocer refused to sell it?
Even if someone told me, “This is a premium-brand daikon that’s flying off the shelves. It’s absolutely delicious, and anyone who doesn’t buy it is an idiot,” I still wouldn’t want it. Besides, if it were really that popular, it wouldn’t still be sitting at the store, would it?
> Sometimes a woman will meet me halfway and say 5 is fine.
> Sometimes a woman I parted ways with will contact me weeks or months later and ask if I’d be willing to meet for 5.
Kazu-san, you’re kind—or rather, as expected, very rational. Once I turn someone down, I’m done with her. Even if she says, “3 is fine,” I won’t accept. It’s never actually happened to me, but still. Once a relationship has been tainted by haggling, I cut that person off completely. I know it’s irrational, but I’m an instinctive kind of person.
> Contacting me to ask if I’d be willing to meet for 5…
If someone did that to me, I might completely lose my temper. Internally, I’d be thinking, “If we decided on 8 or 10 in the first place, then stick with it for life! Don’t go wavering around—I’ll cut you down, you idiot!” I wouldn’t show it, though. I’d probably just delete the message without reading it.
> They were fed lines by their scout, like, “You can get 10 easily.”
Ah, I see. I’ve definitely met girls with that kind of attitude. But I can’t deal with the foolishness of misjudging their own worth like that. Kazu-san often says he has no interest in dating foolish female college students, right? I think it’s probably a similar feeling. I just can’t bring myself to be intimate with a woman who can be fooled that easily. She’s way too gullible. I can’t be bothered.
If you’re going to deceive me, fine—but at least do it more skillfully. What greengrocer would anyone take seriously if they came grinning and saying, “This daikon is 1,000 yen. It’s delicious!”?
Another thought I had is that women who insist so strongly on a high allowance are probably desperate and clinging to it to prop up their self-esteem. They must be at their wits’ end. I can’t help feeling a little sorry for them, but I’m not running a charity. Why should I have to pay out of my own pocket to take care of those issues? That’s how I feel.

I couldn’t think of any respondent who said something like, “I’ve never been turned down when offering an allowance of 5,” so I searched around a bit but couldn’t find one.
Could you provide an example?
I believe Mac and I are the ones who say that our allowance is 5, so speaking for myself, it’s pretty much as Maezawa-san explained. If a woman’s desired allowance is 6 or more, I tell her, “I ask for 5, so it’s unfortunate that our expectations don’t match.”
Sometimes she’ll meet me halfway and say that 5 is fine after all, while other times we simply go our separate ways. I believe I wrote about this several times a long time ago, but there have also been women who initially declined and then contacted me several weeks or months later to ask, “Would you be willing to meet if 5 is okay?”
In a more unusual case, she might say, “In that case, pay-per-meeting at 5 is fine, but I’d like you to do ○○,” making it a conditional arrangement.
When a woman says the allowance is up to me, or asks me to make the offer, I offer 5. In those cases, the arrangement has been established at 5.
As for some minor exceptions, I think I also wrote about this several times a long time ago, but especially when I had just joined, I sometimes wondered whether things would be different with women who were used to receiving 10. So when a woman requested 10, I tried offering 10.
All of the women I’m currently seeing have received well over ten offers each. One woman even counted them in front of me once, and she had received more than thirty. So I don’t think they’re unpopular.
Also, I’ve shown a few staff members a quick glimpse of this, but I keep brief notes on the women I’ve offered to, including a simple profile and what we discussed regarding the allowance. I refer to those notes when writing my answers.
**Addendum**
**Maezawa-san**
> If the person asking this question is being turned down constantly,
> > I feel there are probably significant issues unrelated to the allowance.
Even when I talk with male members I know, it seems they’ve had experiences similar to what I described here, even if their allowance wasn’t 5.
If the person asking feels they’re being turned down all the time, I think there are probably multiple issues involved.
I’ve mentioned this occasionally in the past, but unfortunately, there seem to be quite a few male members at Universe Club who are so problematic that women feel compelled to vent about them.
The reason I haven’t written about this much recently is that I’m almost exclusively seeing partners I’ve been with for over two years. They’ve all left the club and don’t meet new men anymore, so I’m no longer getting any fresh stories.
**Mac**
> Kazu-san, you’re kind—or rather, as expected, very rational. Once I turn someone down, there’s no going back for me.
Among women who request a higher allowance, there are occasionally some who registered after being casually told things by scouts such as, “You could get 10 easily.” Taro-san has written about this before as well.
Someone Mac knows is a very respectable person who does his job properly, but the vast majority of scouts are extremely careless in their work.
There are also cases where women simply believe what they hear on X or from female acquaintances and assume it applies to them too.
So when someone has made the mistake of believing what a scout told her while knowing nothing about how things work, I was willing to meet her as long as that misunderstanding could be corrected.
> If someone did that to me, I might completely lose my temper.
But when I met them, I often felt I had wasted my time because they tended to be somewhat lacking in judgment or unable to evaluate themselves objectively. Now that my curiosity about the process has been satisfied, I probably wouldn’t meet them anymore, haha.
> You often say, “I don’t feel like dating a stupid female college student,” right? Maybe it’s a similar feeling. How should I put it? I wouldn’t want to sleep with a woman who could be fooled that easily.
Yes, I think it’s a similar feeling.
For example, if I offered to meet a woman because she said something like, “I’m confident in bed,” only to discover that she actually believed the scout’s claim that she could get 10, then her supposedly confident performance might also be pretty underwhelming.
So I sometimes think I should have stopped once I realized from the start that she was foolish.
Perhaps Mac skips this whole process instinctively.
> A woman who insists solely on getting a high allowance must be clinging to it to satisfy her need for validation, desperately hanging on by a thread.
That’s “bragging about one’s slave chains,” a phrase that used to come up here from time to time.
I also find it strange that this question is concerned with whether there is a respondent who says, “I’ve never been turned down when offering an allowance of 5.”
For example, if someone said, “I’ve never been turned down when offering 2,” or “I’ve never been turned down when offering 10,” would that bother you?
It wouldn’t bother me.

My understanding was that the respondent meant:
“If the woman doesn’t agree to 5, we simply end the meal and part ways.”
When it comes to other men, though, there are people who might say things like:
“Why isn’t 5 enough?”
(they assume their own standards are absolute and don’t give much thought to the woman)
or:
“Couldn’t you do it for 5 somehow?”
(they try to negotiate the price down)
or:
“Isn’t this a bait-and-switch on her dating type?”
(they’re too insensitive to realize she’s turning them down because of the amount)
Considering that people like that exist, I think it’s perfectly normal to back off if your expectations don’t match.
> Are you worried she won’t turn you down because you’re choosing an unpopular woman who gets few offers?
I think it’s a bit simplistic to assume that women who receive fewer offers necessarily have lower allowances.
If the person asking has been turned down over and over, I feel there are probably issues beyond the allowance.
I think they should start by examining how they come across to other people.
> There are occasionally women who register after a scout tells them something careless like, “You could easily get 10.”
Rather than blaming the women, I think the scouts are being very manipulative.
“You could easily get 10.”
“But I only got 5.”
“Maybe you weren’t able to keep the man entertained. If he enjoys spending time with you, he’ll pay 10. Let’s think together about how you can make him enjoy himself.”
I imagine they say things along those lines.
Scouts basically ignore women who get no offers or very few offers because they can’t make any money from them.
And considering that scouts are paid 50,000 out of the 100,000-yen black-tier setting fee every time, that’s an excessive amount to pay them.
So of course the scouts say things like, “You could easily get 10.”
Incidentally, even when clubs run campaigns offering a full refund if the date doesn’t go well, they still pay the scout—apparently because the attitude is, “You went on the date, so pay up.”
So the club takes a 50,000-yen loss in those cases, even though everyone is still working.
I sometimes wonder, “Wouldn’t they go under if they keep doing this?”
Are they really okay...?
