Women originally post their photos so they can receive offers, so wanting to look without any intention of making an offer—or wanting to keep looking even after making one—must be annoying from their perspective. Wouldn’t it be possible to create a system where the woman receives 1,000 yen every time someone views her photo? Then you could have conversations like, “I accessed your profile 100 times just for you”—meaning the woman would receive 100,000 yen—and both sides might feel good about it. (Although men would probably say, “Why should I pay when I can view them for free right now?”) I guess it’s not going to happen anytime soon.

First of all, if the poster is a “Black” woman, the highest class of man she can add to her favorites is Platinum. So if men ranked Gold or below are showing up in her favorites, she’s probably not Black. The longer men have been with Universe, the more likely they are to keep their class set lower normally, then upgrade it when they find a woman they want to make an offer to. Also, adding someone to favorites is basically just bookmarking them—it only means he’s somewhat interested. He may simply be thinking of making an offer if a spot opens up, so I wouldn’t get your hopes up too much. When I was making inquiries, I generally felt that the approximate number of offers was “the number of favorites divided by 10.”

Patro doesn’t have classes for male members, so any male member can make an offer to women in any class. As far as I know, the Club lets men view the profiles of women up to one class above their own. Platinum members can’t make offers to Black women, but they can still view their profiles. Naturally, the Club wants male members to join the higher-priced plans, which is why the system works this way. Since Patro was introduced, it feels like the limited-time campaigns that allowed members to make offers to women in every class have almost disappeared. You may want to believe you’re Black, but you’re probably Gold. Still, even as a Gold member, you’re lucky if you receive an offer from a Platinum or Black male member. Good for you—looks like it worked out in the end.

Very occasionally, a specific Black-level woman may be promoted to Platinum for a limited time, or a Black-level woman may be reclassified as Platinum. They may be waiting for that opportunity.
