I think it’s perfectly fine to part ways with such a difficult papa.
Why not smile and tell him:
“You’re acting like an out-of-touch old man. If there’s no allowance, then I guess we’re done.”
If you don’t make the point clear, he’ll only get more entitled, and it could affect other female members too.
Hang in there!

You’re an old fossil precisely because you’ll never realize you’re an old fossil, you moron. @Nikai
When you write Nikai in katakana, it suddenly sounds kind of African. (Oh, wait—Nikau!)

I don’t think there’s any need to go out of your way to “make them understand.” Your values simply don’t align, and engaging further will only wear you down.
The fact that things “worked out for free in the past” is completely separate from the terms on which the two of you are dealing with each other now. Imposing past successes on someone else is a little too forceful, in my opinion.
If it were me, I’d simply say:
“I meet people on a paid basis, so I don’t think we’re a good match if that isn’t understood from the outset.”
There’s no need to explain or persuade them any further. You’re not obligated to make someone understand something they refuse to understand.
If they become upset or respond condescendingly, I’d take that itself as proof that you weren’t meant to connect. They’re not someone worth dealing with at the expense of your own self-worth.
It’s not about whether things can work out for free. It’s simply about:
“How are you, as you are now, going to deal with me, as I am now?”
Please don’t let this hurt you unnecessarily. Value your own stance.
