At a school-themed soapland, you can have sex with a real female college student in her early 20s who’s reasonably attractive for around ¥30,000 total. I’ve heard the going rate on this site is ¥50,000. Unless she’s model-level or has some particularly notable background, I don’t really understand the appeal of meeting an ordinary amateur woman for ¥50,000–¥70,000 in total. Those of you who enjoy papa-katsu, what exactly do you find appealing about it?

People who work at a soapland from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. probably have sex with around five to seven customers a day, right? If they work three days a week, that means they’re with roughly 15 different people a month. They’re likely exhausted, so the quality of the sex may be lower, and there’s also a higher chance they have an STI. Honestly, it feels a little unhygienic to me. With women doing papa-katsu, it’s more like a network of three papas, a boyfriend, and a regular casual partner—about five people in total, lol. Just an example. Even if there’s a one-night stand, it’s still limited. I only continue seeing women who offer quality intimacy, so papa-katsu wins by a landslide for me. That’s just my personal opinion, so feel free to take it or leave it.

With women doing papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), it might be three papas, a boyfriend, and a regular hookup—a network of roughly five familiar people, haha (just an example). Even if they have a one-night stand, it’s probably limited. I only continue seeing women who provide good-quality sex, so in my opinion, papa-katsu wins by a landslide. That’s just my personal opinion, though. The person asking should try it for themselves and do whatever they like.

Questions like this come up from time to time. First, I want the person asking to understand that, here, we—including myself—would like to believe that club activities and the sex industry are two different things, even if they may look the same objectively. As proof of that? Although you may find it hard to believe, the reason the person asking is paying more than the ¥30,000 it could be done for is to deny that it’s the same as the sex industry. You didn’t know that? Personally, I’m not into school-themed places, so I have no desire to go.

Long time no see, everyone. This is Ryo, a female member. It seems you don’t understand the difference between dating and the adult entertainment industry. Dating is a personal relationship between two people, whereas in the adult entertainment industry, it’s a business relationship between a customer and an employee. Of course they aren’t the same.

Do you think the questioner has “met a soapland worker”? I don’t. Just as you go to a massage parlor to get a massage, you go to a soapland to enjoy mat play and sexual services. With someone you meet through a dating club, you’re there to pursue a relationship, so I don’t think of it as simply getting sexual services. To put it more clearly, I’m not looking for conversation with a soapland worker, and even if she gave me her LINE, I wouldn’t necessarily message her. But with a dating partner, I do want conversation and companionship. Of course, it depends on the woman, but some message me on LINE every day, and some call me every night before bed to chat. I think the attempt to compare two completely different things is misguided in the first place.

If your mindset is “as long as I pay, I can get sex,” then you might as well go to soaplands for the rest of your life. Among the people I’ve met, not a single one has thought, “I don’t care how it happens, as long as I get some.” (That said, there are people in the club who are far less gentlemanly than you might expect.) Even if people from a completely different level of thinking and way of life answer your question, you probably won’t understand them anyway… So perhaps it would be best to refrain from asking such pointless questions.

Most soapland workers probably carry chlamydia or something similar in their throats anyway. Even if they say they get tested, it’s meaningless if they work every day. I only go to men’s esthe salons. I would never pass anything on to my regulars.
