I use:
- a flip phone for making calls
- a smartphone for sending and receiving emails
So I don’t use LINE; I communicate either by calling from my flip phone or emailing from my smartphone.
I’ve never used LINE before, so if possible, I’d prefer to stay in touch by email from my smartphone. Is LINE really necessary?

By the way, it’s perfectly fine to communicate with Universe Club by email.
That’s what I do, actually…
The main issue is what method of communication the man prefers.
The advantage of LINE is that you can tell whether your message has been read.
With email, you don’t know whether they’ve read it, and it often takes quite a while to exchange even a single message, which can be a drawback.
As I mentioned in my previous answer, if you’re attractive enough that he still wants to meet you despite any drawbacks, I don’t think it will be a problem.

It’s not impossible, but if he’s a man you’re genuinely seeing on an ongoing basis, anything other than LINE probably won’t work.
Compared with LINE, where you get a reply in seconds, email is just too much of a hassle—if you don’t normally use it, you might not even notice you’ve received a message.

Those old flip phones bring back memories! The kind that opened and closed with a snap, right? I used to be really particular about my ringtones back then.
Even my late father was using LINE on an easy-to-use smartphone to chat with women at a hostess bar, haha.

No one said you absolutely have to use LINE.
Even before LINE, though, you seem to have trouble communicating with other people.
I don’t remember whether it was voice calls or SMS, but profiles of women who couldn’t use one or the other stated that clearly.
If you have looks compelling enough to make up for both your lack of communication skills and the inability to use LINE, you might still be accepted. In that case, I’m sure the staff will kindly note on your profile that you can’t use LINE.
Also, no matter how passionately you argue your case here, the male respondents aren’t the same people who would make you an offer.
