However, based on past questions and answers, it seems that some female members who became friends through a shared papa show each other different papas, while papas may also show each other—or another dating partner—their companion’s photos, names, and other details. I’m honestly shocked by how little awareness people seem to have about privacy and security. I’m also seeing multiple people, so the topic of “What kind of people are you dating?” does come up. But I make sure never to share anything that could identify someone personally, other than their age or occupation. I had always assumed this was the normal way to handle things, but what do you all think? I’d be grateful to hear your opinions—whether you’ve shown or talked about someone in the past, whether you’re equally careful about privacy, or whether you think that anyone who cares about privacy should simply leave the club.

Sorry, but I’ve never been involved with such foolish men, so I’ve never been asked that—and even if I were, I wouldn’t tell them. Apparently, some people really do have no problem asking for or trying to show personal information.

What you’re saying is perfectly reasonable. I’m also careful not to share any information that could identify individuals. That said, with around 10,000 members of all genders, it’s only natural that there will be some people with various issues. I believe you should understand that and proceed accordingly. That’s probably why a certain number of women choose to register with their photos blurred, even if it means receiving fewer offers.

I basically agree with the questioner’s view. That said, Joe himself has made exceptions to this rule. There are two men who met other female members through women he had previously dated. Nothing unusual happened, but from the questioner’s perspective, it may still feel a little strange. Either way, we need to be very careful about disclosing information about other members. I’ll take this as a reminder to be more mindful myself.
