You may be innocent when you first start, but the longer you stay active, the less likely you are to be surprised by small things.
I think that’s what people mean by becoming jaded.
For example, at first she might be happy if you take her out for decent yakiniku, but after being spoiled by other men, she may no longer be satisfied unless it’s A5-grade beef.
She’ll act happy on the surface, but you get the feeling there’s another side to her, haha.
That said, women who have been registered for a long time tend to receive fewer offers, so I think a new offer would still make her happy!

So you used the counseling service, right? I don’t really understand why you felt uncomfortable asking after making time to meet up for tea.
You could have requested a male staff member (you can no longer request a female staff member because there was a problematic male member, but I believe requesting a male staff member was still possible).
Even though she was a woman, she was still a staff member, so I think you could have simply asked her directly.

After nearly four years, the fact that you’re dining with the staff already tells you that you’ve become jaded yourself—you’ve picked up a lot of knowledge and information and gotten used to it.

What feels off to me is when they casually demand a large amount of money.
When someone inexperienced names her desired allowance because the terms don’t work for her, she usually sounds hesitant and speaks softly—it’s clearly a different vibe.
I agree that it’s hard to ask probing questions to female staff, especially younger ones.
