Other than selling it to a pawnshop or giving it to someone else, I can’t really imagine how someone would lose a watch.
Or is this a question from the woman who lost it?
In that case, I guess all you can do is play dumb and say, “I forgot to put it on,” or “I don’t usually wear a watch.”
Unlike a ring or earrings, do people really lose watches?
