Personally, I think it could work if you share a common hobby or something that lets you meet up for reasons other than just dinner.
But since the allowance differs depending on whether intimacy is involved, once you’ve been intimate with him once, every date comes with intimacy included, lol.

With my previous generous (well-paying) papa, 99% of our dates didn’t involve a hotel. In fact, we hardly had an intimate relationship at all, so I may have been in a somewhat unusual situation.
I also see my current generous (well-paying) papa several times a week, so we don’t do it every time.
