Because of my work in healthcare, my nails are damaged and thin enough to hurt people, so I get my nails done. I sometimes feel like going for a bold burgundy color, but for now, I think pale pink and something subtle are better.

If they’re natural nails with nothing done to them, I can understand judging them as pretty or not. But when they’re decorated with nail art, it feels like it’s no longer really about the nails themselves.
That said, when I occasionally see a really nice nail design, I do think it’s impressive.
Though really, that just means the person who created it is talented...

I’m Seattle—unpopular with women, an otaku, and a total “cheese beef” guy.
By “charms,” do you mean false nails? If they make you happy, that’s all that matters. But when you first meet someone, they’re not very popular with men.
I always think natural nails look beautiful just as they are. Though I have to say, when my daughter once had Pikachu nail art, it was really cute.

I don’t really think, “Wow, that’s beautiful.”
I just think, “Oh, she’s wearing nail art.”
If the design is cow print or something quirky, I might think, “That’s pretty fun.”
If it has charms attached, I imagine they must be annoying, but nail art itself probably gets in the way anyway—and since some women even say it’s inconvenient, I wouldn’t make such a tactless comment about something they presumably enjoy doing.
