I’ve answered a similar question before, but I’ve never heard of Universe Club.
When you consider the mindset of someone trying to scam people, they probably wouldn’t bother with a dating club—especially this one—because it’s too much hassle.
They’d use an app instead, since it’s much easier.
A woman planning to scam someone would have to come in for an interview at the club. Faking an ID would be a hassle, and they’d have their photo taken and be recorded on video. If she isn’t attractive, she won’t get any offers, either. From the scammer’s perspective, it takes too much effort for too little payoff, so I don’t think they’d do it.

That’s not something I’ve ever heard of at Universe.
Apparently, people like that do exist on apps and social media, so you should probably be careful.

I’m in Seattle.
I’ve never heard of it or seen it before. Even as a plot device in dramas, it doesn’t seem to be very popular.
The apps verify users’ identities, too, so I feel like it should be fine as long as it’s not Twitter or something.

I’ve heard of this happening on dating sites, so I was wary because I assumed it was fairly common. But I’ve never heard of it happening at a dating club, so I don’t think it’s something that happens often there.
That said, I do think you should be cautious with apps and dating clubs that don’t conduct thorough interviews. Universe Club was the first place where I had an interview, so I assumed that was the industry standard. But afterward, I interviewed with another well-known dating club, and I was honestly a little taken aback by how careless the process was. If they’re that lax when interviewing male members, it makes me wonder whether they’re just as lax when interviewing women.
