I started taking the pill last month, and since my body hasn’t adjusted yet, I sometimes experience breakthrough bleeding. The other day, I had some breakthrough bleeding right when I got home after a hotel date. The man had been going down on me intensely until a few hours earlier, but would there have been a smell or taste of blood if it was right before the bleeding started? It looks like the breakthrough bleeding may continue for a while until things settle down, so I’m worried that I might have had an unpleasant odor.

If this is your first time, I’m guessing they started you on a low-dose pill, but I think you should consider switching medications. Contact the hospital once and ask whether you should finish the pack or come in right away. If the dosage is too low, you could become pregnant. Don’t make your own decisions about the medication—it’s dangerous.

I’m Dai, a male member. Normally, if there were a foul odor, most people would avoid cunnilingus, so if he performed it, the odor probably wasn’t too strong. Either way, please see a gynecologist and get it treated as soon as possible.
