A question for the male members: Have you ever met women from privileged families who still do papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan)?

I’d say I was raised fairly well-off too, since my family runs a reasonably large local company with several hundred employees. The reason I do papa-katsu is that I’ve been in all-girls schools my whole life and never really had many opportunities to talk to men. I’m also a humanities major with plenty of free time. In front of men, I pretend to be living in poverty on the level of someone receiving welfare… lol By looking at the men’s companies and belongings, I’ve learned a lot about how much financial room someone at that level can have. At first, I would talk fairly openly about my academic background and experiences traveling abroad, but people would always wonder, “If you’re wealthy enough to have had those experiences, why are you doing papa-katsu?” It became a hassle, so now I pretend to be from a poor background. Have any of the women you’ve met been from genuinely wealthy families? If so, why do you think they do papa-katsu…?
