I’m a female member. Since registering here, I’ve been on dates with around nine people. I tend to leave fairly blunt feedback after dates, including negative ratings and things I didn’t like. I’d like to know whether I’ve received any negative feedback myself—would the staff tell me if I asked?

Also, do women who come across as assertive or particularly blunt in their feedback make a worse impression on the staff or receive lower star ratings?

I’m Kazu, a male member. I feel like they could at least tell you whether there’s any negative feedback. If the feedback you submit is noticeably harsher than the other feedback for the member being reviewed, I think the staff will naturally form a worse impression of you. That’s just human nature. It probably won’t affect your star rating, though.

Maezawa from the CEO’s office here with an answer as well. > I’d like to know whether I’ve received any negative feedback. If I ask the staff, will they tell me? Regarding the changes to the male and female member evaluation system announced on June 11, 2021, President Kida wrote: > “Even if you contact us, we cannot disclose the details. > > Some members have asked us to share the feedback so they can improve in the future. However, if we were to reveal the contents, members might worry that ‘the club could potentially show the questionnaire responses to the other person,’ causing people to submit only safe, harmless comments. > > If there are a sufficient number of dates and feedback entries, we may be able to say something along the lines of, ‘Many people mentioned dissatisfaction with your attitude during meals, but overall, we’ve received a lot of positive feedback.’ > > With only a few dates, we cannot disclose the feedback because the person who submitted it could be identified.” Since you’ve had around nine dates, they may be able to tell you something along those lines. (That’s only a possibility, though, so if they decline, it would be best not to push the matter.) > If a woman’s feedback is particularly blunt or critical, will that lower the staff’s impression of her or her star rating? If critical feedback lowered someone’s rating, people would be afraid to write honestly. So no, their rating will not be lowered. There is one exception, though. For example, if someone writes something emotional like, “I can’t forgive this man—please ban him,” the club may start wondering, “Couldn’t the problem actually be with you?” Since deciding whether to forcibly remove someone is the club’s responsibility, it’s probably best to be mindful of that. In fact, I think blunt feedback is actually welcome.

I’m Flag Maker, a column writer. Sorry, but “around nine people”? Haha. I can understand “around ten” or “around five.” But “around nine”?! Haha. Why put “around” after such a specific, oddly in-between number!? Is that supposed to be one of Football Hour’s signature comedy bits? Haha. I can just picture Iwao repeatedly adding “around” to ridiculously specific numbers, while Goto retorts, “Why do you keep saying ‘around’!?” …Anyway, to answer the question, I leave feedback after the first date and after subsequent dates for every woman I meet. Of course, I include negative feedback too. But I don’t want to come across as some weird male member who only leaves bad reviews, so when I have something negative to say, I wrap it in humor and phrase it in a way that the staff won’t find unpleasant—something entertaining enough to get a little laugh out of. I vaguely remember seeing an answer from one of the staff saying that there’s a popular woman who gets flooded with offers and receives feedback every time, and that the feedback about her is always entertaining. Her likability among the staff must be pretty high.
