Whenever I reply to her LINE messages, she doesn’t respond until four or five days later. When I assume we’re just not a good match and stop replying, she sends me another message one or two months later. This has been going on for over six months, and I honestly don’t understand it. What is she trying to do?

If a woman doesn’t reply within 24 hours, it usually means she’s not interested. She probably has plenty of other men to choose from.
Just move on and look elsewhere.

It sounds like she doesn’t really care about you—or about papa-katsu itself, for that matter, does she?
Didn’t she seem careless, like showing up late and acting rather halfhearted?
Even when it comes to meeting up or simply keeping in touch, her lack of interest would probably seep through—or rather, be blatantly obvious.

I think she’s simply not very motivated to do papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) or meet you. Her motivation is low, but whenever she occasionally needs money, she messages you on LINE at the last minute. That’s probably what’s happening.
