Why are women so expensive in Japan, where the cost of living is this low?

I found myself thinking about it while eating goose rice in Hong Kong. When I walk around Shanghai or Chongqing, I’m amazed by how much slimmer and more attractive the women’s figures are compared with Japanese women. Then, when I land at a Japanese airport, I’m shocked by how poor the women’s physiques look. A Chinese friend of mine says that he worries about Japanese women having STIs. Given the statistics, I suppose it’s understandable.
