I vaguely remember someone saying, “You can build an ongoing, good relationship with about one person out of 20,” but is that really how it works? It must be tough for men to make offers to 20 women (and surely cost several million yen), while I imagine only a small handful of women receive offers from that many men. If the success rate is 5%, does that mean ongoing relationships are actually quite rare—or simply a matter of luck? I’d appreciate hearing how both male and female members feel about this.
