If you’re an office worker meeting for a date on a weekday, I think a suit is perfectly fine. Some women even find men in suits attractive.
Weekends are actually more difficult, though. If you show up dressed too much like you’re going to work, they’ll ask, “Were you working today!?”
I once met a woman in a hotel lobby after an intense gym session, so I showed up wearing a T-shirt.
