What factors do you consider when deciding how much allowance to offer a girl, and what makes you want to give her extra allowance or gifts?

For me, it’s probably when she asks me for something（笑） At the restaurant checkout, she’d hold out her hand, and she once told me she used her commuter pass from her part-time job to cover transportation for our dates, then asked me to pay for a taxi home—trying to get transportation money twice（笑） Now that I’m working full-time, she doesn’t hold out her hand or ask me outright anymore（笑） Those were the days. But birthdays and Christmas are still going strong（笑） > What do you look for when deciding how much to offer a girl? When I’m setting the price… Ah! So that’s what you mean（笑） When it comes to proposing the terms of the arrangement, I’ve always weighed it against what I’m willing to offer her. I don’t think that will change going forward. After that, all that’s left is to wait for her decision.

Whether it’s clothes, bags, appliances, furniture, a car, a year’s allowance paid in advance, or anything else, I consider it when my own judgment tells me we click in many ways and I want a long-term relationship. (It’s not about putting a price on it.) Sometimes, especially when we haven’t met many times yet, it’s simply when I feel I’d be okay even if we couldn’t see each other starting tomorrow.
