Which do you think is worse for your health: taking laxatives or being constipated?

I’m severely constipated and can’t go without taking medication, but I have a long trip coming up with my papa (a male supporter), so I’m wondering when I should take my constipation medicine. Since we’ll be having sex pretty much nonstop, I’m worried that if he wants to be intimate right when it starts working, I might have an accident. I’ll also need to spend a long time in the bathroom, and we’ll be sharing the same room... But it’s also painful to hold it in until the trip is over.
