That’s a question that comes up from time to time.
Only a small number of posts end up on there, and they’re visible to the general public. If someone the asker knows happens to see it and think, “Wait, I’ve seen this before,” the one who’ll be in trouble is the asker.
I get this question a lot.
I always assumed women were concerned about being recognized, so does this mean they actually dislike not being featured there?
The member page is only visible to members, but the profile page is on the official website, so anyone can see it.
Setting that aside, it would certainly be great for us if more women wanted to be featured, since we could post more profiles.
As for your situation, I’m wondering whether they forgot to record a faceless video during your interview.
At Universe, we don’t really believe in wasting time editing. We don’t take a regular video and edit it afterward for the profile page.
Instead, we record a separate video specifically for publication from the start.
However, when things are busy, they may record only the regular video and forget to shoot the one for the profile page. In that case, the woman may not be featured.
Sometimes, even when the video has been recorded, they simply don’t have time to upload it.
If you really want to be featured, why not ask them directly?
You could send something like, “I’d like to be featured on the profile page. Would that be possible?”
If they didn’t record the faceless video for your profile, they might reply that they’re sorry, but they can’t post you because they don’t have the video.
Or they might say that being featured there won’t affect the number of offers you receive…
Either way, considering that there used to be many women who asked not to be featured because they might be recognized by their clothes—which I never really understood—it’s a good thing that more women now want to be posted.
