You can’t post answers unless you’re a member, but anyone can browse, right?
If so, do older guys who’ve already quit still check it out? What for? Is it because they secretly want to join again? Or are they just bored?
Or are there men and women considering signing up who read this? Don’t you get discouraged when you see this site and feel like none of the papa-katsu women have good personalities?
I’m Fuu, a columnist.
One of the great things about this club is that anyone can view the Q&A and anyone can submit a question. They don’t try to sweep unpleasant things under the rug.
The difference between public image and reality
The website features polished, attractive photos, and the survey results contain lots of positive comments from women. But they also openly show the less flattering side of things instead of hiding it.
Newly joining papas can understand that, like the questioner, some female members talk about them behind their backs and bash them as “old guys.”
No matter how much the questioners criticize the club, men considering joining will choose Universe Club after gathering information from various sources. Presenting not only the advantages but also the disadvantages makes the club more trustworthy.
That was certainly the case for me, Fuu. The overly flattering websites of other dating clubs felt suspicious. Even if things are hidden, we live in an age when social media will expose them anyway.
Far from being disappointed, I found the respondents’ answers so outstanding that they became the deciding factor in my choice to join.

I’m Dai, a male member.
I agree that it can sometimes seem like there are a lot of women with bad personalities.
But once I actually arrange to meet them, I find that they’re all genuinely nice women.
I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve thought, “She has a terrible personality,” or “Her profile must have been misleading.”
This Q&A forum could easily create a negative impression, but it’s also a reminder that one of the great things about Universe Club is how open and transparent everything is.

You don’t have to be a member to browse the site or ask questions.
I think many people are discouraged by some female members (though we can’t even be sure they’re actually members) posting nasty comments about men. I’m sure quite a few people feel grateful that the woman they’re seeing isn’t like that.

Even if former male members are reading this, they can't really answer.
I started reading this when I was considering joining.
Now that I've actually been active, my impression is that there are a fair number of women who seem a little lacking in common sense, as you can see from some of the questions here. But women with personalities as nasty as the one described in the question seem to be fewer than one in twenty.

I’m Date◎Yume, a male member.
I assumed anyone could view and submit questions to the anonymous Q&A box. I imagine former members read it too, but I think most of the users are people who are about to start papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan).
When doing papa-katsu, some members—especially women doing papa-katsu—seem to post here to vent their frustrations when they can’t meet a good papa (a male supporter), or when they encounter male members who aren’t gentlemanly.
I’m sure there are plenty of kind-hearted women doing papa-katsu, but I haven’t made many offers, so I can’t really say.
