About my earlier question: I still have a Christmas present I never got to give him, as well as something I borrowed from him. With the year-end and New Year holidays coming up, I’m really torn over whether I should tell him before the end of this year.

Maezawa from the CEO’s office here. > The Christmas present I never got to give him Since the timing has already passed, I think you can put that out of your mind. > There are also some things I’ve borrowed and still haven’t returned. If it’s bothering you, I think you should return them as soon as possible. That way, you won’t have to worry about these issues anymore, and you can focus on what you want to do.

I’m Aya, one of the female members. How about reaching out in a cheerful way, like, “I never got around to giving you your Christmas present, so I’d love to give it to you. Want to grab tea sometime?” I’m not one to chase people who leave, so I’m sorry I can’t offer more helpful advice.

I’m Dai, a male member. Men tend to think that once they’ve lent something, they’ve essentially given it away. Why not bite the bullet and throw away the Christmas present? You’re free to contact him, but if you keep chasing after a man who’s trying to end things, you’ll only become a woman he can take advantage of. They say it for a reason: in love, whoever falls harder loses.

It looks like you’re definitely going to come across as a clingy woman. Be prepared for the possibility that you’re the only one who wants to make a clean break and move on. Christmas is already over, after all. Why not use the present for someone else, or save it for their birthday?
